THE LIES OF THE STORM

1· The storm will tell you that you are in the problem, that this chaos is your new reality. But the truth is, you are not defined by the turmoil; you are securely positioned in His perfect plan. The storm is an external force that is itself in trouble, for it has entered the domain of your God, and it does not have the final say over your life.

2· The storm will tell you it is bigger than you, and by your own strength, it very well might be. It is natural to feel overwhelmed. But remember, you are not alone in the boat. The One who is with you, who dwells within you, is immeasurably mightier than any wave you will ever face. His strength is made perfect in your moment of weakness.

3· The storm will tell you It is powerful, roaring with a force that seems to shake your very foundations. But take heart, for there is no power in heaven or on earth that stands above the Name of Jesus. The same authority that commanded the winds and the waves to be still is with you now, and every force must bow down to His sovereign rule.

4· The storm will tell you it will hit you hard, and the enemy wants you to believe you are exposed and vulnerable. But stand firm in this promise: no storm is able to deliver a crushing blow, for you are already covered by God. You are shielded in His embrace, and your true, eternal self—your spirit and your hope—is hidden safely in Christ.

5· The storm will tell you that it will not let you go, that you are trapped and your destiny is canceled. Do not believe it. The One who called you to go to the other side is infinitely more faithful than the storm that is blocking your way. His calling is a guarantee. He who begun a good work in you will see it through to completion, and no temporary obstacle can nullify His eternal purpose for you.

6· The storm will tell you it will kill you, threatening you with ultimate despair. Declare aloud the truth: it cannot! The One who asks you to go forward is the one who holds the keys to life and death. Your life is in His hands, not the storm's. He is the author and sustainer of your life, and His plans for you are for a future and a hope.

7· The storm will tell you  that it was a wrong decision to step into this journey. It will try to fill you with regret and doubt. But the truth is, this is the most truthful journey you can be on. The sudden presence of a storm does not change the authenticity or the credibility of the path God himself set you upon. It was the perfect decision because it was born from your perfect obedience to the Lord who called you to begin it. Your obedience is what matters, not the opposition you encounter.

8· The storm will tell you that your Master doesn’t care for you, that His silence is indifference. Nothing could be further from the truth. Your Master is not panicked because of the storm, for He knows He is the Lord of all heaven and earth. His calmness is not ignorance of your struggle; it is the serene confidence of His absolute sovereignty. He is being perfectly normal as God—utterly in control, deeply loving, and faithfully present with you in the midst of it all.
